Do you believe it? Even a professional masseur seeks for a healthy work-life balance. Often this is a walk into the woods or a visit to the yoga studio. We like yin yoga, which is not based on muscle tension but on stretching the facia in a gentle way. We are happy to share three aspects which we like the best and that is why we are motivated to offer you a yoga massage.
- It is not about being flexible therefore no performance pressure occurs.
- Breathing consiously is essential during the yoga poses (asanas).
- Every asana aims to stimulate certain organs and that is truly a healthy enrichment.
A yoga massage treatment is performed on a floor mat, without oil and fully clothed. We ask you to wear comfy and light clothes, leggings and T-Shirt would be fine. It is basically a mixture of firm massage, acupressure and stretching. The pressure will be given with thumbs, palms and feet along your energy channels. Because we want you to feel „grounded”, a lot of the work is done on the feet and legs first.
Our thanks go to the Indian physician Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha who is considered the founder of the yoga massage. Over 2500 years ago he was a friend of the Buddha and Indian King. The migration of Buddhism towards South-East Asia brought this sort of massage into Thailand. That is why you probably know that type of treatment as Thai (yoga) massage.
